The Education Act

The Education Act is the legislative basis for the educational system in the province of Québec. This act was passed in 1988 and has been amended a number of times since.

The Provincial Collective Agreement

At the provincial level, the collective agreement is negotiated between the Management Negotiating Committee for English-language School Boards (CPNCA) and the Quebec Provincial Association of Teachers (QPAT). The complete provincial agreement is available on the CPNCA website.

The Local Collective Agreement

The current collective agreement between Central Québec School Board and Central Québec Teachers' Association was enacted in 2008.

Central Québec School Board has elaborated and adopted a number of policy documents that are of interest to students, parents, staff members and the general public. Many of these policy papers are available at the CQSB website.

CQTA members participate in health and insurance plans administered by the Quebec Provincial Association of Teachers. For more information about these plans, or to obtain claim forms, consult the QPAT website.
